CPN-UML chairman Jhala Nath KhanalThe CPN-UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal underwent surgery of urinary tract to remove stones at Alka Hospital in Lalitpur for Saturday.

Hospital source said his operation was successful and he will be discharged from the hospital by this evening. The surgery was conducted with laser technology.

Khanal was admitted in the hospital this morning after complications grew though he was scheduled to go to India for treatment in a few days, his personal secretariat said.

Dr Suman Sharma and Dr Rajesh Bataju of Alka Hospital and Dr Ansuman Agrawal, a surgeon from Apollo Hospital in New Delhi, had conducted operation on him. nepalnews.com
