Deputy parliamentary party leader of the UCPN (Maoist) Narayankaji Shrestha has claimed that a new government will be formed under the leadership of his party in the near future. A day after his party’s politburo meeting concluded to form a national government under its own leadership, Shrestha in an interaction programme in Kathmandu Tuesday, said the countdown for fall of the current government has begun.
He said homework for pulling down the current government and forming a new national government has already begun, adding the cause of fall would be the internal differences within the coalition partners.
Repeating his party’s cliché that the present coalition government has upheld military rather than civilian supremacy, Shrestha added it has weak ground for survival since it stands against the people and the country. nepalnews.com June 30 09
