The government has rejected former King Gyanendra Shah's request to waive taxes on his and his family's properties.
A cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's office, Singha Durbar, Tuesday decided to impose tax on the property and income of former King Gyanendra Shah and his family. Reports say, former King Shah had written a letter to the Council of Ministers requesting for the waiver of the taxes.
Today's cabinet meeting also approved a bylaw related to films. The statute committee of the cabinet discussed a bill on ammending some Nepal Acts. nepalnews.com
