Teachers affiliated to the Maoist affiliated Nepal Educational Republic Front (NERF) lied down on the road in front of the Ministry of Education, Keshar Mahal Thursday demanding implementation of the agreements reached between them and the government.

Vehicular movement in the area was obstructed for two hours Thursday afternoon due to the protest.Â

Teachers affiliated to NERF have been launching protest programmes with various demands including giving permanent status to temporary teachers of government school, and providing salary and perks equivalent to that of government school teachers to private school teachers.
