The central committee meeting of the Unified CPN (Maoist) was put off till Sunday due to busy schedule of party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Dahal took part in a fundraiser football match between CA Members-11 and Television Artistes-11 at Dashrath Stadium in the afternoon along with UML chairman Jhala Nath Khanal and Nepali Congress leader Ram Chanadra Poudel. The match was organised to raise fund for the treatment of former national volleyball player Dinesh Baniya.

Meanwhile, sources said senior Maoist leaders are to hold separate discussions before the CC meeting resumes tomorrow in an attempt to narrow down the differences over Dahal's political report, which started on Wednesday.

The 19-page political document, which was passed by the recent politburo meeting, stresses on formation of a Maoist-led national unity government as the immediate priority of the party.

The central committee meeting taking place at the new party office at Koteshwor will also take decisions on the party's strategies, division of responsibilities to central leaders, management of party whole-timers, integration of the People's Liberation Army (PLA), and the party's general convention. nepalnews.com
