President Ram Baran Yadav
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has met President Ram Baran Yadav at the latter's residence Shital Niwas Monday morning hours before the President's Indian visit.

PM Nepal and President Yadav discussed the President's India visit during the meeting.

President Yadav is leaving for a three-day state visit to India, this morning. He will leave for India leading a 27-member Nepali delegation by a special flight at 11.00am, Monday.

This is the first foreign visit of the first President of Nepal. President Yadav is visiting India at the invitation of Indian President Pratibha Patil.

President Yadav has delegated Vice President Parmananda Jha as the acting President during his absence.

During his visit, President Yadav will meet with his Indian counterpart Pratibha Patil, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress (I) president Sonia Gandhi, among others.

Four memorandums of understandings including that on establishment of Hetauda Polytechnic Institute, train service in five placesĀ  along the Nepal-India border, expansion of air service and construction of a conference hall is likely to be signed during the President's visit. nepalnews.com
