Six different student unions closed down Biratnagar Monday by obstructing traffic and shutting down shops in protest of a road accident resulting to the death of a girl studying in Mahendra Morang Campus.

The students burnt tires and vandalised almost a dozen vehicles demanding compensation to the kins of the deceased and action against the guilty.

They have announced an indefinite transport strike from Monday unless their demands are met.

Narvada Chaudhary, a student of Mahendra Morang Campus, Biratnagar was hit by a truck when she was returning home from college.

The students have claimed the truck driver reversed the truck to kill her after she was knocked down. Nepalnews.com
