The meeting of the Unified CPN (Maoist) central committee meeting scheduled to take place at the party headquarters Paris Danda, Koteshwor, on Monday has been postponed to the next day due to the general strike called by Rastriya Prajatantra Party (Nepal) in the Kathmandu valley.

Party spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma said the meeting had to be deferred as a number of central members would not be able to attend it with the bandh bringing the vehicular traffic to a halt.

Today's meeting was to finalise the names of those to be inducted in the central committee. The central committee meeting had started on Saturday.

The party is all set to induct 35 new members in the central committee including some PLA commanders, making it a 175-member body. nepalnews.com
