CPN (UML) leader K.P Sharma Oli said the parties are reluctant to accept Maoist leadership in government as the former rebel party has not yet transformed into a civilian party.

Oli, who reached Kanchanpur district said on Saturday that unless the Maoists abandoned the politics of violence they would have no ethical ground to lead the government.

In another context, Oli said it is possible to promulgate a brief constitution to avoid absence of constitutional rule in the country after May 28 deadline. Most parties, including UML, have said they are against promulgation of a brief constitution.
