President Ram Baran Yadav
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has apprised President Ram Baran Yadav of the government's preparations to extend the term of Constituent Assembly (CA) by one year.

At a regular meeting with the President at Shitalniwas, Thursday afternoon PM Nepal told the President, the government had tabled eighth amendment bill to the Interim Constitution as the constitution could not be drafted on time.

PM Nepal expressed confidence that the amendment bill would be passed from the CA. "I am confident that all political parties will come together to write constitution through the elected Constituent Assembly (CA) whatever may be the speculations outside," said PM Nepal.

According to the PM's press advisor Bishnu Rijal, PM Nepal and President Yadav also discussed issues related to the country's present situation at the meeting. President Yadav expressed hope that the political parties would forge a consensus soon. nepalnews.com
