The rotten rice and lentils that cannot be cooked even after two hours of cooking have been proved to have caused the cholera outbreak, INSEC told media persons in Nepalgunj Sunday.
It did not elaborate how they had proven the food was responsible for the cholera.
INSEC president Subodh Raj Pyakurel urged the government to test the food provided by WFP.
However, regional chief of WFP Moti Thapa refuted INSEC’s report. There is nothing wrong with the food we provide, WFP always supplies quality food, Thapa said. nepalnews.com
