Caretaker Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal addressing the legislative...
Caretaker Prime Minister Madav Kumar Nepal on Monday accused the Unified CPN (Maoist) of inviting present stalemate.

Addressing Monday's budget session at Constituent Assembly, PM said, "Maoists never acted to prove that they are sincere in fulfilling their past commitments."

PM Nepal also critised the former rebel party for creating turmoil to derail the ongoing peace process and state restructure.

"It is sad that he (Prachanda) tendered his resignation himself," Nepal said, "Now the Maoists are blaming other parties for not allowing them to take leadership to rule."

According to Nepal, he decided to resign with a hope of political consensus among parties for forming a new government. "However, Maoists have played with my sincerity," he claimed, adding that it was because of the Maoists that the present caretaker government did not get a chance to present its annual policy and programme, and a full-size budget.

The caretaker Prime Minister was speaking at the parliament prior to Finance Minister Surendra Pandey's budget speech. nepalnews.com
