Nepal won the title of first Mount Everest International Taekwondo Championship that was held in the capital from September 22.

Nepal clinched total six gold medals and eight silver medals to claim the title while Malaysia finished second with five gold, three silver and two bronze medals. Similarly, USA finished third wining two gold one silver and four bronze medals. Â

Likewise, Bangladesh won total of six medals including one gold, one silver and four bronze medals; India won seven including one silver and six bronze; Hong-Kong four bronze; Pakistan three bronze, Canada and South Korea one bronze each.

The two-day event was jointly organised by Nepal Taekwondo Association (NTA) and International Nepalese Taekwondo Association (INTA). nepalnews.com
