Nepal defeated Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) by seven wickets in its first T20 practice match in Mumbai, India on Friday.

Electing to bat first, Trust managed to score only 53 runs losing all wickets in 16 overs. Basanta Regmi and Sanjam Regmi took three wickets each while Amrit Bhattarai took two.

Nepal met the target in 12.3 overs losing three wickets. Sharad Vesawkar contributed 19 runs and Gyanendra Malla scored 11 runs while Pradeep Airee and skipper Paras Khadka went out at 8 and 6 runs respectively.

Nepali team led by Coach Pubudu Dassanayake and captain Paras Khadka is in Mumbai for practice matches as a preparation for the ICC World T20 Qualifiers to be held in the UAE on March, 2012. nepalnews.com
