Nepal’s U-19 women’s cricket team members line up during award ceremony...The government has decided to felicitate Nepali women cricketers who won the ACC U-19 Women's Championship recently in Kuwait by awarding them a cash prize of Rs 2,00,000 each.

A Cabinet meeting held at Singha Durbar Thursday decided to award the sum to14 members of U-19 cricket team including its head coach and two other officials.

The Nepali women cricket players will be felicitated by organising a special function in about a week time. Prime Minister Baburam Bhattarai will hand over the cheques to the Nepali players.

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) had recently felicitated Nepali women cricketers by awarding them Rs. 20,000 each.

Wai-Wai - the instant noodles of Chaudhary Group also provided Rs. 51,000 to the team for their third consecutive victory in the championship. nepalnews.com
