Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marysangdi Club (MMC) and Armed Police Force (APF) entered quarter-final of British Gurkha Cup after winning their respective matches played at Dasrath Stadium on Sunday.

MMC defeated Saraswati Youth Club (SYC) 2-0 while APF thrashed Mahindra Bansbari Club 5-1.

MMC’s Sulav Maskey scored an opening goal in the 4th minute while Anil Gurung doubled the tally in the 14th minute to knock-out Saraswati.

Likewise, APF’s Santosh Shrestha scored an opening goal in the 8th minute while Arjun Subba doubled the score in the 35th minute. Similarly, Ganesh Lawati and Ranjan Bista scored one goal each in the 70th and 80th minute respectively to lead 4-1 in regular time while Milan Rai extended the score in additional extra time.

However, Pukar Ale scored a goal for Bansbari in the 86th minute.

Machhindra Football Club (MFC) and Rani Pokhari Corner Team (RCT) are set to take each other on Monday. nepalnews.com
