Machhindra Football Club (MFC) defeated Rani Pokhari Corner Team (RCT) 2-1 to enter quarter-final of the ongoing British Gurkha Cup played at Dasharath Stadium on Monday.

MFC’s Bishal Rai (A) scored two goals to secure victory against RCT while Yougal Kishor Rai scored a goal for RCT.

Bishal scored an opening goal in the early third minute while Yougal leveled the score in the 64th minute but Bishal’s second score in the 85th minute proved to be the winning goal for MFC. Bishal declared man of the match.

Friends Club and New Road Team are set to face each other in the next match of the tournament on Tuesday. nepalnews.com
