Region No.6 Baitadi advanced into the final of the Wai Wai U-19 National Cricket Tournament after finishing as Group ‘A’ winner by sidelining Region No.4 Bhairahawa in a match played on Tuesday.

Baitadi is set to face Group 'B' winner Region No. 2 Birgunj in the final match of the tournament on Thursday. Birgunj have accumulated total six points from three matches they played.

Baitadi, Bhairahawa and Janakpur have accumulated four points each from three matches. However, Baitadi topped the chart with the run rate of +0.908 while Bhairahawa at second with +0.763 and Janakpur with -0.086.

Baitadi defeated Bhairahawa by two-wickets played at Kirtipur TU Ground while Region No.7 Janakpurdham thrashed Region No. 5 Nepalgunj by 66 runs played at Pulchowk Engineering Ground.

Electing to bat first, Bhairahawa scored 83 runs in 30 overs losing all wickets. Chasing the target, Baitadi met the target in 27.2 overs losing eight-wickets.

Similarly, in another match, Janakpur scored 155 runs losing all wickets in 31.3 overs while Nepalgunj was restricted to 89 runs in 23.5 overs. Nepalnews.com
