A 10-member Nepali karate team including eight players, a coach and a manager on Tuesday returned home winning seven medals in Singapore Open Karate Championship held in Singapore from April 21-23, 2012.
Ganga Adhikari won gold medal for Nepal in women’s above-55kg while Binod Maharjan (60kg), Mukunda Maharjan (67kg), Digambar Prasad Panta (above-84kg) and Roji Nagarkoti (women’s 55kg) won silver medal each.
Similarly, Sunil Lama (60kg) and Parsuram Bastola in men’s single kata won bronze medal each. nepalnews.com
