Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Wednesday announced a 14-member squad for the upcoming U-16 ACC U-16 Elite Cup scheduled to be held in Malaysia from May 4-13, 2012.

The CAN selected the final 14-member squad from the total 19 players who were in the close camp training.

The 14-member squad formed under the captainship of Dipendra Chand including Aadil Khan, Rupesh Bastola, Kalicharan Yadav, Sashibhusan Mishra, Mukund Yadav, Nurdhwoj Sen, Jagdish Chand, Alfaz Mansuri, Aakash Bista, Rabin Gupta, Anup Neupane, Aasif Sheikh and Kushal Bhurtel.

Nepal has been placed in Group ‘B’ alongside Malaysia, Bahrain, Kuwait and Iran while Group ‘A’ comprises Singapore, Hong Kong, Oman and Thailand.

According to the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Nepal is set to take on Kuwait in the first match of the tournament on May 4 at Bayuemas Ground. Nepalnews.com
