Region No.6 Baitadi lifted the title of the Wai Wai U-19 National Cricket Tournament defeating No.2 Birgunj by four-wickets in the final match of the tournament on Thursday.

Electing to bat first, Birgunj scored 100 runs in 37.2 overs losing all their wickets played at Kirtipur TU Ground. Chasing the target, Baitadi met the target in 31.4 overs losing six-wickets.

Man of the match Prem Tamang grabbed three-wickets while Binod Lama, Yegyaman Kumal and Santosh Bhatta took two-wickets each against Birgunj.

Similarly, Surendra Chand scored 38 runs while Prem Tamang and Saurav Chand contributed 18 runs and 22 runs, respectively to secure victory for Baitadi. nepalnews.com
