The third Nepal Investment Bank Limited (NIBL) Heritage Marathon 2012 is going to be held on May 5.

NIBL is organising the marathon with the theme “Run for Heritage Conservation” with an aim of disseminating awareness about the conservation of heritage.

The marathon will have four categories including 21 km (open) for men, 10 km (open) race for females, 5 km race for school students and veterans (above 50 years) and 1 km (open) race for physically disabled people.

Similarly, the event will also have separate marathon for foreigners and banking sectors in both men’s and women’s categories.

The event is expected to raise Rs. 10 million that would be invested for the restoration project of Bahi Degah Temple at Patan. nepalnews.com
