Nepal Telecom (NT) defeated Private Public Partner on Wednesday in the ongoing the first Wai Wai Corporate Premier League T20 Cricket that kicked off at TU Ground Kirtipur from Tuesday.

Electing to bat first, Private Public scored 173 runs losing three-wickets in 20 overs. Mandip Regmi contributed 71 runs while Amardeep Mahato scored 47 runs and Sujan Chaudhary scored 21 runs.

Chasing the target of 174 runs, Telecom met the target in 15.4 overs in a loss of two-wickets as Netra Bhatta scored 62 runs, Yuvraj Shrestha 55 runs, Dhirendra lal Shrestha 23 runs and Gopal KC six runs to secure victory.

Binaya Pokhrel grabbed two-wickets and Gopal KC took one-wicket for Telecom while Amardeep Mahato and Bikash Sharma took one-wicket for Private Public.

In another match of the day, You We Rangers thrashed Max Media by 27 runs.

Electing to bat first, Rangers scored total 153 runs losing all wickets in 19.2 overs as Chirag Mahipal scored 47 runs, Rahul Dhanuka 15 runs, Dinesh Bothra  12 runs and Piyush Goenka 11 runs.

While chasing the target of 154 runs, Max Media were restricted at just 126 runs with the loss of eight-wickets in 20 overs as Rahul Dhanuka grabbed three-wickets while Pratik Bagaria and Chirag Mahipal took two-wickets each and Nikhil Goyal took one-wicket for Telecom.

Kuldip Malla scored 38 runs, Rajat Rana 26 runs, Saroj Maharjan 21 runs and Pradyumna Dhanwantari 9 runs for Max Media. nepalnews.com
