The Team ‘Blue’ under the leadership of Prithu Bankota defeated the Team ‘Red’ lead by Pradeep Airee by 21 runs in the second closed camp practice
match played at Kirtipur TU Ground on Tuesday.

Electing to bat first, Team ‘Blue’ scored total 239 runs losing seven wickets in 50 overs as Rupesh Shrivastav contributed 38 runs, Subash Khakurel 37 runs, Surendra Chand 36 runs, Krishna Karki and Pawan Shrestha 24 runs each, Sagar Pun 19 runs, Prithu Baskota 15 runs  and Bijay Ghalan 12 runs.

Abishek Jha grabbed two wickets while Avinash Karn, Rahul BK, Hasim Ansari, Nischal Pandey took one wicket each for Team ‘Red’.

Chasing the target, Team ‘Red’ were restricted to 218 runs grabbing all their wickets in 48.4 overs as Prithu Baskota and Rupesh Shrivastav took  three wickets each while Krishna Karki, Gopal Singh, Bhuwan Karki and Binod Lama took one wicket each.

Shiva Tandukar scored highest 56 runs for Red while Rahul BK 34 runs, Subendu Pandey 29 runs, Pradeep Airee 27 runs, Hasim Ansari 20 runs and Abishek Jha 12 runs.

The 24 players are in the closed camp training for the ACC U-19 Asia Cup scheduled to be held in Malaysia from June 23 to July 1, this year. nepalnews.com
