Nepal U-19 team, set to participate in the ACC U-19 Asia Cup in Malaysia, have been defeated by Nepal APF Club by huge margin of 136 runs in the seventh closed camp practice match played at Kirtipur TU Ground on Sunday.

Electing to bat first, APF posted the target of 255 runs in 50 overs under the leadership of Dipendra Chaudhary. Sharad Vesawkar scored the highest of 66 runs, Dipendra Chaudhary 53 runs, Paresh Loahni 38 runs, Rom Shrestha 27, Rakesh Karn     21 runs and Basant Regmi 11 runs.

Krishna Karki grabbed four wickets while Saurabh Khanal took three wickets and Bhuwan Karki took two wickets for U-19.

While chasing the target, U-19 were restricted just to 118 runs losing all wickets in 34.3 overs as Sharad Vesawakar grabbed five wickets and Rupesh took two wickets while Chaudhary and Sunam Gautam took one wicket each for APF.

Subash Khakurel scored 24 runs, Failur Rehman 18 runs, Naresh Budhayer and Avinash Karn scored 15 runs each and Hasim Ansari scored 13 runs for U-19. nepalnews.com
