ANFA player Ranjan Thapa among those killed in Dhading bus accident

All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) academy player Ranjan Thapa was among 11 persons killed in a bus accident at Simle in Dhading district early Tuesday morning.

Thapa died on the spot while three other ANFA academy players including Sagar Pariyar, Milan Hitang and Samrat were injured in the accident.

All of the ANFA players were selected in central ANFA Academy from Butwal ANFA Academy recently.

The accident occurred when the bus (Lu Kha 7051) travelling to Kathmandu from Butwal veered off the road and fell few hundred meters down the cliff to Bhumesthan of Simle along the Prithivi Highway.

Including Thapa, ten passengers died on the spot while one died on the way to hospital. The injured people are being treated at Sahid Memorial Hospital, Kalanki and Star Hospital in Balkhu, Lalitpur. nepalnews.com
