TSC, Madhyapur Youth to clash in opener match of Ncell Cup

Mega Three Star Club (TSC) and Iceberg Madhyapur Youth Association (MYA) will play against each other in the opening match of the Ncell Cup football tournament scheduled to be held from September 12 at Dasharath Stadium in the capital, according to the fixture released by All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) on Monday.

TSC and MYA have been drawn along with NIB Friends Club and Nepal Armed Police (APF) in Group ‘A’ while Laxmi Hyundai Manang Marshyangdi Club (MMC), New Road Team (NRT), Tribhuvan Army Club and Machhindra Club have been drawn in Group ‘B’.

Similarly, Yeti Himalayan Sherpa Club, McDowell’s Ranipokhari Corner Team, Mahindra Bansbari Club and CMG Club Sankata are in Group ‘C’ while Nepal Police Club (NPC), Samsung Jawalakhel Youth Club (JYC), Bouddha Football Club and Saraswati Club are drawn in Group ‘D’.

MMC is set to take on Machhindra in their opener from Group ‘B’ while Himalayan Sherpa will play against Sankata in their opener from Group ‘C’ and NPC will take on Saraswati in their opener from Group ‘D’.

The top two teams from each Group will qualify into the quarter-finals in the knockout tournament.

The winner team will bag Rs. 1.5 million while runner up will receive Rs. 700,000 and semi-finalists will get Rs. 150,000 each.

Similarly, the best players including goalkeeper, defender, midfield and forward along with the best coach will bag Rs. 75,000 each. nepalnews.com
