Carlsberg MMC toiled hard to play to a 0-0 draw against Machhindra FC in the British Gurkha Cup Football Tournament, but managed to top the group with seven points.

The match was dominated by MFC but they lacked clinical fashion to score goals. They came close many times but CMMC goalie Prasod Joshi denied those chances.

In the second match of the day, young lads of ANFA U-16 played to a 2-2 draw against Maoist PLA team. Saorj Basnet and Hom Balapathi scored for PLA team while Phurba Yonzan and Santosh Thapa scored for ANFA team.

The tournament has a cash prize of one million rupees. The tournament is sponsored by British Gurkha Group. nepalnews.com
