Nepal has been knocked out of the ACC Women T20 U-19 Championship after it lost the semi-final match played against Hong Kong in Malaysia, Friday.

Hong Kong beat Nepal by seven wickets. Hong Kong let Nepal bat first after it won the toss.

Nepal played all 20 overs and secured 76 runs giving a slim target of 77 runs to Hong Kong. Neera Rajopadhya had secured the maximum 28 runs for Nepal and Maya Rawat secured 25 runs and remained not out.

Hong Kong was declared winner after it secured 77 runs in 16.1 overs. It lost only three wickets.

Ritu Kanaujiya took the first wicket for Nepal in the first over. The other two wickets were taken by Neri Thapa.

Nepal’s dream to win the trophy has been shattered by this defeat. Nepal will now contest for the third place. nepalnews.com
