Nepal has entered the final of the ACC U-16 Elite Cup cricket tournament defeating Malaysia by 32 runs in the semi finals of the ACC U-16 Elite Cup Cricket tournament Sunday at the Tribhuvan University Ground.

The Nepalese U-16 cricket team continued their excellent winning streak and batting first, scored 162 in 39.5 overs. Dipendra Chand scored 43 runs while Sanam Shrestha and Sarad Khadka scored 24 and 23 runs respectively. Nepal then bowled out Malaysia for 130 runs in 38.1 overs.

In the other semi final match, Singapore defeated Hong Kong by 133 runs.

Nepal and Singapore will play for the Cup on Tuesday. The 3rd place match between Malaysia and Hong Kong and 5th place match between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain will be played Monday.

Earlier, Nepal topped Group B, winning all its matches – it beat Hong Kong by 6 wickets, then thrashed Kuwait by 101 runs and Bahrain by 85 runs in its group matches. nepalnews.com
