Radhika Ma Vi toiled hard to beat Janak Memorial Boarding School 5-4 in sudden death penalties to win the Coca Cola Cup football tournament title at ANFA Complex, Satdobto, Lalitpur, on Monday.

The match went into extra time and shoot-out battle after both teams ended regulation time with a 1-1 draw.

The 5-5 penalty-shoot ended tied at 3-3 and then sudden death was invited.

Earlier, Aman Kumar Majhi scored for Janak Memorial in 21st minute but Rajin Dhimal leveled the score in 43rd minute.

The match started in a blistering pace and both teams served a nail-biting show in the early minutes. However, the show could have been far better had ground not been soggy due to the rains.

Winner Radhika received rupees two lakhs while runners-up Janak grabbed one lakh rupees. The third and fourth teams won 50,000 and 25,000 thousand rupees respectively.

The organiser also declared the best players who will go to the TATA Football academy to train for two weeks. The package is sponsored by Bottlers Nepal Limited.

Best striker: Aman Kumar Majhi, Janak Boarding School
Best goalkeeper: Prem Kumar Basnet- Birendra Sainik
Best mid fielder: Prem Tamang, Sautha Ma Vi
Best defender: Purna Bahadur Danuwar, Radhika Ma Vi
