Two persons on a motorbike were killed when a truck hit the motorbike on the Prithvi Highway in Tanahun district Thursday afternoon.

Motorcyclist Hem Bahadur Ale Magar of Shivnagar, Chitwan district, died on the spot after being hit by the truck coming from opposite direction while the pillion rider, 8-yr-old Amit Ale Magar, died in course of treatment at a hospital in Dumre.

The accident took place at around 2:30 at Yamphata, reports said. Local people have been staging protest following the accident, blocking the traffic on the highway. nepalnews.com June 25 09
