Nepal’s folk rock band Nepathya has left for Australia for a 4 city tour. The tour coincides with the Easter Holidays and the start of the Bikram Sambhat New Year celebration.

The band will perform its first show in Brisbane on 5th April at the Princess Theatre. It will then move on to perform at Fowlers Live in Adelaide on 7th, Dallas Brooks Centre in Melbourne on 9th and Sydney Town Hall in Sydney on 14th.

Nepathya’s Australia tour is coordinated by Myagdi Sewa Samiti. The theme slogan for the tour has been coined as ‘Music for Unity’.

The 8 member Nepathya entourage is lead by composer / singer Amrit Gurung. They are scheduled to return to Kathmandu on the 17th of April after completing the four city tour.

This is to be Nepathya’s 2nd tour down under. They had toured 3 cities in Australia in 2009.

“Along with music and fun, we will try and connect our audience to Nepal and share fond memories of their motherland," band leader Gurung said. nepalnews.com
