A woman was reportedly gang-raped at Raikwar Bichawa, a remote area in southern Kanchanpur district Saturday night, RSS reports from Kanchapur.

Four persons allegedly raped the woman using threat. It is said one Tek Bahadur Khadka of Raikwar Bichawa-3 had brought the woman to his house for marrying her, according to the Area Police Office, Raikwar.

Identity of the woman has not been ascertained yet as she is in unconscious condition after the gang-rape.

Police have taken Tek Bahadur to the District Police office, Kanchanpur, for investigation.

The Office said police have started searching for the four persons, suspected for their involvement in the incident, who are absconding.

According to Inspector Balram Bista of the District police Office, Kanchanpur, a medical test would be conducted to ascertain whether the woman was raped.
