A six-year-old girl died while more than 30 others were injured in separate road accidents that took place in Chitwan and Tanahun district on Tuesday.

Samjhana Chepang, 6, of Chandibhanjyang VDC-6 died when a bus heading to Narayangarh hit her along the Kalikhola section of the Narayangarh-Mugling road.

Chepang died while being rushed to Bharatpur Medical College for treatment.

Similarly, some 20 passengers were hurt when a bus (Lu 1 Kha 5559) collided head on with the truck (Na 4 Kha 1232) coming from the opposite direction in Ratnanagar Municipality-1, Chitwan.

Although the extent of the injuries sustained by the passengers receiving treatment at Bharatpur hospital was not immediately known, but the condition of few of the injured is said to be serious. Meanwhile, at least 11 passengers sustained injuries in a bus accident in Tanahun district this morning.

The accident occurred when the bus (Ga 1 Kha 3223) heading to Damauli from Sarangghat of the district overturned near Kaidimghat Bazaar.

The injured passengers are currently undergoing treatment in Damauli Hospital. nepalnews.com
