AIN elects office bearers

In a Steering Committee (SC) meeting held on 15 June, 2012, the Association of International NGOs (AIN) elected Ashutosh Tiwari as the Chair, Lex Kassenberg as the Vice Chair and Ravindra Shakya as the Treasurer.

Ashutosh Tiwari is the Country Representative at WaterAid in Nepal. Lex Kassenberg is the Country Director of CARE Nepal and Ravindra Shakya is the Country Director at Restless Development (Nepal).

In addition to the above office bearers, the new AIN Steering Committee consists of Bharatmani Devkota, Executive Director at Digital Broadcast Initiative Equal Access Nepal; Julie Brethfeld, Nepal Country Manager at Saferworld; Michael Frank, National Director at World Vision International—Nepal (WVIN); Sanjana Shrestha, Country Director at READ Nepal; Shibesh Chandra Regmi, Ph. D., Regional Director Asia at World Neighbors; Simon Lewis, Country Director at ADRA Nepal and Deepak Raj Sapkota, Country Director at Karuna Foundation.

The Steering Committee is the executive committee of AIN. It has 11 members, each of whom is elected for a two-year term on a staggered basis at the general assembly every year in June. The SC members elect the office bearers for a period of two years.
