I think federalism is not necessary in Nepal. Leaders are only wasting their time debating it. What we need now is a workable constitution.

In federalism system people from all castes and ethnic communities should have equal access. Otherwise, federalism will only invite trouble. If the leaders do not act seriously on time, haphazardly decided federalism system might ruin communal harmony.

I think federal system itself is not good. Considering the existing dispute between the parties, it is only going to divide the communities.

The parties have their own interests. They are not worried about the people. Ordinary people will not get anything if the parties do not start acting responsibly.

The federal model to be adopted in the new constitution should be acceptable to all. It should not leave any room for vioiiiilence. Parties have not sufficiently informed the general public how federalism works and how it is good for them.

What is important is the tolerance and co-existence of diverse communities. Federalism should not be divisive.
