Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has continued to increase by 11.42 points to close at 713.62 points on Thursday from Sunday’s 702.20 points, last week. Same index has been witnessed an increment by 55.45 points, the previous week.
Though insurance group lost huge 61.15 points, hotel group 58.25 points, manufacturing 10.89 points, other 8.22 points, hydropower 4.75 points, trading 2.11 points and development banks 2.3 points, commercial banks posted positive growth of 26.31 points and finance 5.58 points over the last week.
The transaction amount has plunged by 17.31 percent to Rs 1.98 billion, last week compared to the amount Rs 2.39 billion registered the previous week.
A category companies contributed Rs 1.5 billion, which is 53.13 percent of the total transaction amount.
Kist Bank has topped the chart in terms of highest transaction registering Rs 222.07 million, followed by Nepal Bangladesh Bank Rs 146.23 million, Sanima Bank 87.26 million, Kumari Bank 86.81 million and Nepal Bank 75.14 million.
