Passport revenue Rs 732.2 m in three months

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has collected Rs. 732,219,400 in the last three months as fees for issuing passports.

Speaking at a regular press conference called at the Ministry of Information and Communication on Monday,  the spokesperson of the MoFA, Dipak Dhital, informed of the revenue collection.

The Ministry has issued 181,700 passports in the last three months, including 70,141 in last month alone. This number includes normal, special as well as diplomatic passports.

During the press meet, Dhital also informed about the important diplomatic visits, conferences and agreements made on behalf of Nepal this year. He also spoke on the Ministry’s efforts to rescue Nepalis in foreign countries.
