Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents (NATTA), an umbrella organisation of travel and tour entrepreneurs, is set to hold its 50th Annual General Meeting and the election on January 9, 2014.
Organising a press conference in the capital on Wednesday, NATTA unveiled the schedule for its AGM and election of the new working committee.
Speaking on the occasion, tourism entrepreneur DB Limbu claimed that the current committee of the association has failed to address the concerns of its members. “The current committee has also encouraged irregularities and corruption in the organisation.”
Limbu, who is a contestant for the post of chairman of the association, expressed his commitment to take the association as per the aspiration of all its members.
Shambhuraj Pathak and Mihika Dhakhwa has also filed candidacy for the post of first Vice-chairman and General Secretary, respectively under Limbu’s group.
Narayan Prasad Kone (Gurung), Sushil Panta, Ramesh Thapa, Raja Shakya, Suresh Amgain among others will be contesting to the member of the association.
NATTA has around 400 travel and tour entrepreneurs associated to it.
