The Upper Marsyangdi 'A' Hydropower Project, which was stalled due to workers' strike since last Saturday, has resumed its operation from Wednesday.

The hydropower project has come into operation after the project management made commitment to address the demands of workers.

Earlier, the employees had staged protest against the management's decision to sack a vehicle driver working in the project.

The agitating employees put forward eight-point demands including the setup of workers' camp, funeral leave and additional wage of Rs 50 per day while working inside tunnel.
