Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index continued to plunge by 16.02 points to settle at 763.76 on Thursday from Sunday’s 779.50 points, last week.
The capital market index had dropped by 7.81 points to close at 787.07 points, the previous week.
As per the sub-indices, most of the groups are witnessed negative as commercial banks lost 19.91 points, other 2.35 points, hydropower 82.05 points, insurance 38.29 points, finance 2.63 points and development banks 7.88 points. However, only hotel group gained 17.16 points.
Over the fourth trading day, the secondary market registered a turnover of Rs 1.45 billion trading 3,599,890 units of shares of 125 companies.
The total transaction amount also dipped by 36.17 percent, last week as it had registered Rs 2.27 billion, the previous week.
Nepal Bangladesh Bank has topped the chart in terms of highest transaction registering Rs 132.765 million. Similarly, Nepal Bank registered Rs 90.338 million, Kist Bank Rs 82.517 million, Arun Valley Hydropower Company Rs 77.367 million and Chilime Hydropower Company Rs 59.819 million.
