Chief Executive Officer at the Rastriya Banijya Bank (RBB), Krishna Prasad Sharma, has said that collective initiative was indispensable for the development of production-oriented economy.
Providing certificates to the winners of different programmes organised on the occasion of the 49th anniversary of the bank and awarding employees with Long-Service Medal in the capital on Thursday, Sharma said that he has kept the improvement programmes of the financial sector in priority and added that has been carrying out works as per the programme.
Sharma said that the bank has made remarkable progress in business expansion and admitted a lot of works are still remaining to carry out in it.
He said that the deposit of the bank has reached Rs 96 billion till 15 July, 2013 and the bank has issued loan amounting Rs 52 billion.
Stating that Rs 1 billion has been invested to the agriculture sector so far in the current fiscal year as it has set a target to invest Rs 3 billion to the sector.
The bank has been providing the banking service from 148 branches across the nation.
