The Seventh National Industrial Trade Fair kicked off in Hetauda on Thursday.
Senior Vice-Chairperson of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), Bhasker Raj Rajkarnikar inaugurated the fair jointly organised by Makawanpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry and District Development Committee, Makawanpur.
As many as 300 stalls have been set up for the 10-day-long trade fair, according to the organizer. Various stalls with IT products, auto, handicrafts, and garment produced in the small and cottage industry, and agro-products, among others, are featured in the fair.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, senior Vice-Chairperson Rajkarnikar said the government should provide with special facilities for the domestic industries to grow that will help mitigate growing unemployment and increase revenue collection.
As many as 200,000 people are expected to participate in the fair, making a transaction of Rs. 2.2 million, said general secretary of the Chamber, Madhav Prasad Neupane.
