Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has slightly dropped by 2.22 points to settle at 781.46 points on Wednesday from Sunday’s 783.68 points, last week.
The secondary market index has been witnessed downward trend since past two weeks as it had lost 8.57 points to close at 786.45 points, the previous week.
The stock market index slid by 3.21 points on Monday and it gained 1.9 points on Tuesday before losing 0.91 points on Wednesday.
As per the sub-indices, hydropower group gained highest 32.26 points to close at 1,885.56 points while insurance gained 22.76 points, finance 5.12 points and development banks 2.78 points.
However, hotels witnessed to be largest loser as it lost 41.47 points. Similarly, manufacturing production and other groups lost 6.72 points, 2.34 points and 1.17 points, respectively.
Over a week, the transaction amount has also plunged by 44.22 percent to Rs 1.11 billion compared to the previous week’s Rs 1.99 billion.
