Nepal-Malaysia labor talks on

A meeting between high-officials of Nepal and Malaysia is taking place at the Ministry of Labour and Employment to provide maximum employment opportunities to Nepali workers in Malaysia.

The meeting between an eight-member delegation led by Malaysian Home Minister Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who also looks after labour affairs, and a Nepali team led by Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Tek Bahadur Gurung, is focused on different issues including management of Nepali workers and their services and facilities, among others.

Secretary Sureshman Shrestha, advisor Ramesh Koirala of the Ministry, Joint-Secretary and Chief of the Foreign Employment Division, Buddhi Bahadur Khadka, Director General of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Krishna Hari Pushkar, Ambassador of Nepal to Malaysia, Dr Niranjanman Basnyat, and Under-Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Rita Dhital, are in the Nepali team.

Similarly, Director General of the Department of Immigration, and Chief of the Labour Office and Charge d' Affairs of the Malaysian Embassy to Nepal, Phadi Adillaha, among others are in the Malaysian delegation.
