Chitwan, April 20: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Bhim Prasad Acharya has hinted at possibility of reoperation of casinos if they cleared revenue and royalty to the government and paid workers.

Speaking at a press meet organised by the Press Chautari Chitwan at Bharatpur Sunday, the Tourism Minister said casinos which were opened promising creation of employment opportunity, promotion of tourism sector with attracting tourists and collection of revenue have been closed for violating rules and regulations.

On a different note, he said huge resources available at the local-level have been misused as the local poll could not be held for a long. He expressed his hope that the local bodies will witness the election by coming November. The local election would not impact the constitution-drafting and federalism, he added.

The ruling parties- Nepali Congress and CPN (UML)-are effortful to make political appointments at different offices including the appointments of ambassadors on the basis of consensus. The matters will be settled within a day or two, he added.
