Nepal's per family annual consumption expenses is found to be Rs 204, 853.
As per the annual household survey of the fiscal year 2069-70 BS made public by the Bureau of Statistics on Sunday, per family expenses in rural areas is Rs 173, 215 and cities is Rs 340, 607.
The Bureau made it public on the basis of survey in 300 households of 100 each wards of rural and city areas of Nepal through random sampling method.
Each family of Nepal spends 59.2 percent in food, 11.6 percent in housing, 3 percent in education, 26.2 percent in non-food items and services.
One Nepalis has his per capita consumption expense as Rs 44,596.
The richest 20 percent people spend Rs 102, 327 per person annually and poorest 20 percent Rs 17, 022.
