Nepali Congress (NC) senior leader Sher Bahadur Deuba has urged the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation to address the demands of the protesting tourism entrepreneurs. He further said that he found the ministry positive on these issues.
The Joint Tourism Coordination Committee (JTCC) has been staging a hunger strike at the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) premises since 20 days demanding forming a high level investigation committee to look into the alleged irregularities at NTB and their institutional representation in NTB.
The NC Senior leader Deuba reached NTB office premises where the JTCC members are staging the hunger strike and expressed his solidarity towards their demands today.
Leader Deuba further said that he held talks with CPN (UML) chairman Jhala Nath Khanal on this issue and found him serious on the matter.
Likewise, NC Joint General Secretary Purna Bahadur Khadka expressed his solidarity towards JTCC's demands and said that his party supported their demands.
