Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has expressed commitment to implement the recommendations given by the Parliamentary Studies and Recommendation Committee to make NOC's petroleum transport and distribution transparent.
It was revealed during a press meet organized in Kathmandu on Thursday. On the occasion, NOC Executive Director Dr Chandika Prasad Bhatta said preparations for procedures were being made for its implementation.
He made commitment to implement smooth supply and consumer-friendly distribution system, reform in administrative and technical sectors and automatic pricing system for bringing down NOC deficit.
He said two color gas cylinders will be brought into use and made commitment for controlling pilferage in transportation.
He also made commitment to close the petrol pumps run in an unsystematic ways.
Bhatta said initiative will be taken to include in budget for price stabilization fund and expansion of storage capacity for supply.
